The LapDogs Cycling Club is all about riding with people we like on the trails and roads we love. Volunteer run and organized, our club rides focus on riding together, having fun and connecting with new people who share our passion for riding. Rides range from social sport rides to advanced faster rides, both on and off the road.
Thinking about racing? LapDogs Cycling Club also has a very successful Racing Program for all levels of ability, with participation in MTB, Road, Cyclocross, Track.
Regardless of your ability or ambition, you'll find a social, fun-loving Pack that suits your style. Our Rides are designed to be social in nature [no matter the level] and we practice a "nobody gets left behind" policy.
“Thinking back to this time last year when the only cycling I had done to that point was commuting to work, and the odd long ride here and there on my old Kona Jake.
Fast forward a year and my bike collection has expanded to include a dualie MTB, gravel bike (with road wheelset to swap in), and a smart trainer.
What was once a simple mode of transport for me is now a full on obsession, passion and lifestyle. And as someone who has struggled with anxiety and depression all my life, cycling has become a ‘wonder drug’ capable of keeping me centred, focused and relaxed.
This is all a preface to say that this past year as a new Lapdog has truly one of the best of my life. Even though I’m a newbie rider, and probably asked some very dumb questions, I always felt nothing but welcomed and encouraged by the entire squad whether it be on a workout ride, weekend ride or my first MTB races. It was a pleasure meeting a bunch of you, and I can’t wait to ride and race with the rest of the pack this year.
Special shoutout to Rob MacEwen, Barry Cox, Michael Cranwell, Doris Xiaoting Liu, Andy McKean, Adam Killick, Darcie Watson, Colin MacLellan, and Dan Marshall for all of the great advice and for generally just being awesome humans.

Membership Levels For 2024 (Now Open)
LapDogs Individual Membership - $56 Club members must be at least 18 years old. From those under 18, we suggest the Family Membership option as minors do need to be accompanied by their parents or guardians at Club Activities, Rides and Events.
LapDogs Family Membership - $45 for each additional member (in addition to an Individual or Primary Membership)
We offer an opportunity for the whole family [Mom, Dad and the Kids] to get involved and Ride with the Pack. Club Members under the age of 18, will need to be accompanied by their parents or legal guardian [ie: Primary Club Member] at all LapDogs Ride and Events.
Ontario Cycling Affiliation & Club Group Insurance - Starts at $20 (this is a required part of each yearly membership). Price is dependant on your required level and if you also are taking out a race licence. Addition details are here.
The LDCC is an affiliated Ontario Cycling cycling club, abiding to the operational rules and guidelines of the OC. Club Members will need to combine this Insurance package with their individual club membership.
